What is the Most Popular Bathroom Vanity Color?
The pack is led by contemporary spaces. According to the study, a whopping 90 percent of renovating homeowners adjusted the layout of their bathrooms during an upgrade. Renovators preferred contemporary styles from that category (25 percent), followed by transitional (17 percent), new (15 percent) and traditional (15 percent) styles (13 percent).
Preferences for styles differ by era. For renovated master bathrooms among renovators aged 35 and up, contemporary was the most common style, while classic style was chosen more frequently for those aged 25 to 34.
Neutral walls will remain in the lead. When it comes to wall paint, neutrals still prevail. For the dominant color, gray was the top option, selected by 35% of homeowners who renovated, followed by white (19%) and beige (18 percent).
On the end, white cabinets fall out. In renovated master bathrooms, white was the top choice for cabinetry paint, according to the survey, with 38 percent of renovating homeowners selecting it as the dominant cabinet color. Fourteen percent opted for gray, while 13 percent chose medium tones of wood.
White reigns on countertops as well. White, with 40 percent of renovating homeowners selecting white, was also common for countertops, followed by 19 percent who chose multicolored counters as the dominant color of the countertop.
The most common are neutral floors. For renovated master bathroom floors, the single most common dominant color was gray, picked by 31 percent of respondents. With 18 per cent of master bathroom renovators reporting it as the dominant floor color, Beige took the second spot.
For bathroom tiles, ceramic and porcelain are favorites. Renovating homeowners also choose ceramic or porcelain tile for the main floor area in master bathrooms; 63 percent of respondents chose this choice. The next most common choice was natural stone, with the top picks being marble, travertine and slate.
The percentage of renovating homeowners who preferred natural stone is the number in green here and in the next two maps. More than one flooring material could be chosen by respondents, and some selected more than one natural stone.
And for the floor tub. For the bathroom floor, what's common is also popular for the shower floor.
And even for shower walls. Also common for shower walls are the same materials that are trending for bathroom and shower floors, proof that renovating homeowners also want a continuous look in their master baths for their items.
